01) Senior Instructor (Fishing Biology) (01 Vacancy for Un-Reserved Category)


Posting and Nature of Post: General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The Post is Permanent

Pay Scale: PB-3 (Rs.15,600 to Rs.39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400) Level–10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

Upper Age Limit: Not to exceed 35 Years.


Essential Qualification(s): The Applicant should have the following Essential Qualifications.

1) Educational: M.Sc. in Marine Biology; Or Zoology or Fisheries Science or Equivalent from any duly recognized University established by Law.

2) Experience: 03-Years’ Experience in teaching Marine Biology, Zoology or Fishery Science in Government or Semi-Government or Autonomous or other Esteemed Institutions.

02) Deputy Director in the Computer & System Division (01 Vacancy for Un-Reserved Category)

Essential Qualification(s): The Applicant should have the following Essential Qualifications.


1) A.i: Master’s Degree in Computer Applications (MCA) or Computer Science or M. Tech (with Specialization in Computer Applications) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.Engg)/ Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Information Technology or Computer Engineering Or Computer Science Or Computer Technology from any Duly Recognized University or Institute;

The Applicant should have the following Essential Qualifications.


A) Educational: Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Bio-Chemistry Or Bio-Technology Or Zoology or Human Genetics having Botany Or Zoology as one of the Subjects during all 03 (Three) Years of Bachelor of Science from any Recognised University or Master Degree in Forensic Science with Botany Or Zoology as one of the Subjects during all 03 Years’ Bachelor of Science from any duly Recognised University Or Institute. Or


i. Bachelor of Engineering (B.Engg) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Bio-Technology from any Recognised University or Institute.


B) Experience: 03-Years’ Experience of Analytical Methods and Research therein in the field of Forensic DNA from any Government recognized Organization or Institution.

04) Junior Scientific Officer (Explosives) (01 for Un-Reserved Category)

A) Educational: Master of Science or Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Associateship Diploma of the Institution of Chemist by Examination* Or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the Subjects during all 03 Years’ Bachelor of Science Level from any Duly Recognised University Recognised University or Institute.

Essential Qualification(s):


The Applicant should have the following Essential Qualifications.


A) Educational: 1) Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with Commerce or Economics or Sociology or Social Work as one of the Subjects from any duly recognized University or Institute;


2) Diploma in Law or Labour Relations or Labour Welfare or Labour Laws or Industrial Relations or Sociology or Commerce or Social Work or Welfare Business Administration or Personnel Management from any duly recognized University or Institute.


Desirable: 01-Year’s Experience in Labour Law or Labour Welfare or Labour Relations or Personnel Management in any Esteemed Industrial Organization or any Government Establishment.


Note: *Upper Age Limits Common to all the Posts mentioned hereinabove:


Relaxable for Regularly Appointed Central/Union Territory Government Servants up to 05 Years as per the Government of India issued Instructions/Orders from time to time. For Age concessions applicable to other categories of Applicants, ‘Instructions and Additional Information for Candidates in respect of Recruitment by Selection are available for viewing.


As regards Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officers including ECOs/SSCOs shall be Upper Age is relaxable by 05-years subject to the condition that on the closing date for receipt of Applications the continuous Service rendered in the Armed Forces by an Ex-Serviceman is Minimum Six Months Post-attestation. This Upper Age relaxation is also available to ECOs/SSCOs who have completed their Initial Period of Assignment of Five Years of Military Service and whose Assignment has been extended beyond Five Years as on the End Date of Online Registration of Application and in whose case the Ministry of Defence issues Certificates that they will be released within 3 Months on Selection from the date of Receipt of Offer of Appointment. The Candidates claiming Age relaxation under this Para would need to submit/produce a Certificate in the prescribed Proforma to the Union Public Service Commission.


Union Public Service Commission Recruitment Test Selection and other Criteria:


Note-II: In the event of the Applications received in large number submitted by the Applicants/Candidates, the Union Public Service Commission will adopt the Shortlisting Criteria to restrict the number of Candidates to be called for Interview to a Reasonable Number by Any or More of the Methodologies as mentioned hereunder:


a) “On the basis of Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs) if more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed”.


b) On the basis of Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum Prescribed in the Advertisement.


c) On the basis of Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum Prescribed in the Advertisement.


d) By counting the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquiring the Essential Qualifications.


e) By invoking the Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as Essential Qualification (EQ) Or as Desirable Qualification (DQ).


f) By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).

The Candidate should, therefore mention all His or Her Qualifications and Experience in the relevant Field over and above the Minimum Qualifications.


Note-III: Important Points:


i) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is made only through Interview or by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Interview, shall remain:


a) Un-Reserved Minimum Qualifying 50 Marks to be secured out of Aggregate 100 Marks. b) Economically Weaker Sections 50 Marks. c) Other Backward Community: 45 Marks, c) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste/Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 40 Marks.


ii) In cases where Selection is made by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will have to achieve the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories at the Interview Stage.

Application Fee and Mode of Payment:


a) The Candidates shall need to pay an Application Fee of Rs. 25.00 (Rupees Twenty-five only) only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of the State Bank of India through Cash or by using the Net-banking Facility of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.


b) Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBD) and Women Candidates under any Community remain Exempt from paying the Application Fee.
