In 2020, Maastricht University (UM) and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) signed a five-year Cooperative Agreement. Within this framework, UM annually provides 30 high-quality research scholarships to qualified Master students from Chinese universities or research institutions. Beyond the 30 guaranteed spots, you're of course welcome to apply through the CSC General Programme as well.

Benefits

• There is NO tuition fee for CSC students wishing to enter a PhD position at UM.
• Students within the Cooperative Program, and basically those within the General Program as well, will receive free accommodation for 12 months at UM housing facilities. This is the equivalent of a € 400 support per month but not a cash funding.
