What you'll study

This undergraduate programme combines foundational business coursework with concentrated study in accounting and related services. Core modules typically include Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I & II, Auditing, Taxation (individual and business), Accounting Information Systems, and Cost Accounting. Complementary courses often cover Business Law, Corporate Finance, Business Ethics, Principles of Management and Statistics or Quantitative Methods.

Students will also engage with applied and contemporary topics such as forensic accounting, accounting analytics, data management for accountants and cloud‑based accounting systems. The curriculum generally includes a capstone course or project where students integrate technical knowledge into practical problem solving, and many programmes encourage or require an internship to gain real‑world experience and employer networking.

Entry requirements

Applicants are typically expected to have a high school diploma or equivalent with a solid academic record. Successful candidates usually present strong grades in mathematics and business‑related subjects. For applicants from systems using A‑levels, IB or other international qualifications, Pace assesses equivalency and looks for comparable academic achievement; typical offers require passes at standard or higher levels depending on the specific credential.

Standardised tests (SAT or ACT) may be optional or considered where submitted. International applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency through recognised tests such as TOEFL or IELTS unless exempt. Mature applicants or those with prior college coursework should submit transcripts for assessment; transfer credit may be awarded according to Pace's policies.

Career prospects

Graduates pursue a wide range of roles across public accounting firms, corporate finance departments, government agencies and not‑for‑profit organisations. Common entry positions include Staff Accountant, Tax Associate, Audit Associate, Financial Analyst and Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist. With experience, alumni move into roles such as Senior Accountant, Audit Manager, Tax Manager, Controller, Internal Auditor or Financial Controller.

The programme also prepares students for specialist paths including forensic accounting, accounting information systems, management accounting and consultancy. Many graduates continue study for professional qualifications (for example the CPA, CMA or ACCA) or seek postgraduate degrees in accounting, taxation, law or business.
