What you'll study

Courses are often taken alongside related units from other schools such as Business, Information, Public Policy or Social Work to support interdisciplinary projects and placements.

Entry requirements

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, usually with coursework in social sciences, humanities or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered for applicants from non-traditional backgrounds.
• Academic transcripts demonstrating strong academic performance.
• A statement of purpose outlining research interests in organisational anthropology, relevant experience, and career goals.
• Two to three letters of recommendation, preferably from academic referees or professional supervisors who can speak to the applicant's research potential and analytical skills.
• A curriculum vitae or résumé summarising education and relevant field, research or work experience.
• For applicants whose first language is not English, proof of English proficiency (such as TOEFL or IELTS) in line with University of Michigan requirements.
