What you'll study

The programme combines studio-based practice, critical inquiry and professional skills to prepare students for work across applied arts and design disciplines. Core studio modules typically cover advanced visual communication, design research methods, materials and making, digital fabrication and interaction design. Elective options allow you to focus on areas such as product and industrial design, graphic and communication design, service and experience design, exhibition design or interdisciplinary practice.

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a bachelor's degree in design, fine art, architecture, engineering, or a closely related discipline. Applicants without a design undergraduate degree but with relevant professional experience may be considered.

• A completed undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
• Digital portfolio demonstrating creative work and process (composition guidelines provided by the programme)
• Personal statement outlining interests, experience and proposed focus for graduate study
• Academic transcripts and at least two professional or academic references
• Proof of English language proficiency for applicants whose first language is not English
