This programme combines advanced clinical training with didactic coursework and a focused research or scholarly project. Core clinical areas typically include advanced restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, implant dentistry, periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, occlusion and temporomandibular disorders. Students participate in high-volume patient care in general and specialty clinics, structured case conferences and multidisciplinary treatment planning rounds.

Didactic and seminar modules cover research methods and evidence-based dentistry, advanced materials and biomaterials, pain and anxiety management, oral pathology, radiology and digital dentistry, professional ethics and practice management. A significant element of the programme is a capstone or thesis-style project that develops research literacy and the ability to apply scientific evidence to clinical practice.

Entry requirements

Applicants are expected to hold a recognised dental qualification (DMD, DDS or international equivalent) and to be licensed or eligible for licensure in their practising jurisdiction where required. Typical requirements include a strong academic transcript from dental school, a current curriculum vitae, letters of recommendation from clinical or academic referees, and a personal statement outlining clinical and research interests.

International applicants will need to demonstrate English language proficiency through an accepted test if their prior instruction was not in English. Shortlisted candidates are normally invited to an interview or clinical assessment. Some programmes may require evidence of clinical experience, BLS/CPR certification, and compliance with health and immunisation requirements.
