What you'll study

The Bachelor’s programme in drama combines introductory courses in the fundamentals of theatre with progressively specialised work in acting, design and production, directing and theatre studies. Early coursework typically covers acting technique, voice and movement, script analysis, theatre history and basics of stagecraft. Practical skills such as scenic design, lighting, sound, costume construction, stage management and stage technology are taught alongside creative subjects like playwriting, dramaturgy and improvisation.

As you move into intermediate and advanced levels you select a concentration or track and undertake studio courses, collaborative production assignments and individual projects. The curriculum emphasises learning-by-doing: students mount multiple public productions each year, participate in production crews, and complete practicum credits. The degree often culminates in a capstone project or senior showcase — a directed production, design portfolio, research thesis or performance recital — that demonstrates your professional readiness.

Entry requirements
