What you'll study

The BBA in Management and Operations combines core business knowledge with specialised study of operations, supply chain management and organisational behaviour. The programme typically begins with a foundation in general education and introductory business courses, then progresses to professional core subjects and major-specific modules.

• Core business foundations: financial accounting, managerial accounting, principles of finance, marketing, microeconomics and macroeconomics, business law and ethics.
• Quantitative and analytical skills: business statistics, quantitative methods for decision making, operations research, spreadsheet modelling and introductory data analytics.
• Management and organisational studies: organisational behaviour, leadership, human resource management, strategic management and change management.
• Operations and supply chain: operations management, supply chain management, logistics, procurement, quality management, production planning and project management.
• Information systems and technology: management information systems, enterprise resource planning concepts and applications of technology to operations.
• Experiential components: capstone project or strategy practicum, industry-linked projects, case studies and an opportunity to undertake internships or co-op placements to apply learning in a workplace setting.

Students will typically complete a capstone or integrative course that synthesises functional areas of business and addresses real-world operational challenges. Electives allow tailoring towards interests such as sustainability in operations, supply chain analytics or entrepreneurship.

Entry requirements

Admission to the BBA programme normally requires completion of a secondary school qualification equivalent to US high school graduation with a competitive GPA. Applicants are expected to have studied college-preparatory subjects, including mathematics (algebra and preferably precalculus) and English. Specific documentation usually includes official transcripts and a completed application.

Standardised test requirements vary; many applicants submit SAT or ACT scores where requested, but testing policies may be flexible. International applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through recognised tests (for example TOEFL or IELTS) or by meeting institutional exemptions.

Successful applicants often show evidence of extracurricular involvement, leadership experience or work experience in business-related activities. Transfer applicants are assessed on college-level coursework; prerequisites for upper-level business courses must be met before entering the professional phase of the programme.
