What you'll study

The programme combines core finance theory with applied technical skills. Typical modules cover corporate finance and capital budgeting, investment analysis and portfolio management, fixed‑income and derivatives markets, financial modelling and applied valuation, and financial statement analysis. Quantitative and risk topics include econometrics for finance, quantitative methods, and risk management; elective choices often allow specialisation in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, private equity, behavioural finance, fintech and real‑estate finance.

Instruction emphasises hands‑on learning: case studies, spreadsheet and programming assignments (often using tools such as Excel, VBA, Python or R), and a capstone or practicum that integrates classroom concepts with live or simulated projects. Ethics and regulatory issues in financial services are typically integrated into coursework.

Entry requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, normally with a strong quantitative component (economics, finance, mathematics, engineering, or similar disciplines are common).
• A competitive cumulative GPA; applicants with lower GPAs may strengthen their application with additional quantitative coursework or relevant work experience.
• GMAT or GRE scores may be required or recommended; some applicants may qualify for a waiver based on prior academic performance or professional experience—check the school’s admissions guidance for current policy.
• Résumé or CV detailing academic background and any relevant internship or work experience.
• Statement of purpose explaining career goals and reasons for pursuing the degree.
• Letters of recommendation (usually one to three), preferably from academic instructors or employers who can comment on quantitative aptitude and professional potential.
• Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS or equivalent) for applicants whose prior degree was not taught in English; waivers may be available in some cases.
