The MA TESOL combines core modules in second language acquisition, language pedagogy and research methods with applied options that develop classroom practice, curriculum and assessment expertise. Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a recognised bachelor’s degree with good honours (or equivalent). Relevant teaching experience and/or a recognised teaching qualification (for example initial teacher training in English language teaching) are advantageous but not always essential; applicants without formal teaching qualifications may be considered on the basis of demonstrated potential and experience. Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate competence in academic English through an approved test or equivalent evidence of prior study in English.
