What you'll study

Entry requirements

Applicants are expected to demonstrate strong achievement in mathematics and in a science-related subject. Typical routes include strong A-levels (including Mathematics and usually Physics or Engineering) or an equivalent international qualification. Mature students or those with alternative qualifications such as BTECs or foundation years are considered on their merits and should show evidence of numeracy and technical ability.

For applicants progressing from a relevant undergraduate degree, entry usually requires a good honours degree (or international equivalent) in electrical/electronic engineering, electrical power engineering, or a closely related discipline. Applicants whose first degree is in a different but relevant subject may be considered if they can demonstrate suitable technical background and preparation for advanced study.
