What you'll study

The programme combines advanced taught modules with a substantive research or industry project. Entry requirements

Applicants normally need a UK upper second-class (2:1) honours degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline. Applicants with a lower second-class (2:2) degree plus relevant industrial experience, or a suitable taught postgraduate qualification, may also be considered.

For international applicants, an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution is required. Non-native English speakers must demonstrate English language proficiency; the university accepts commonly used qualifications such as IELTS or recognised equivalents. Applicants should provide a CV and a personal statement outlining relevant academic background and motivation. References and evidence of any practical or industrial experience strengthen applications, and specific modules or experience in mathematics, mechanics, materials and CAD/CAE are advantageous.
