What you'll study

This three-year honours degree develops the knowledge, skills and professional values required for safe, compassionate adult nursing. Teaching combines lectures, seminars, clinical skills sessions in high-fidelity simulation suites and supervised practice placements in hospitals, community services and specialist care settings across the Humber region and partner trusts.

Assessment methods include objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs), written coursework, presentations, reflective portfolios and workplace-based assessments. The curriculum is designed to meet professional standards and prepares you to apply for registration as a Registered Nurse (Adult) on successful completion.

Entry requirements

The programme typically admits students with a combination of post-16 qualifications and relevant experience. Successful applicants usually hold A-levels, BTEC or equivalent qualifications; the university also considers access to higher education diplomas and other recognised qualifications.
