What you'll study

The programme combines construction technology, commercial management and project leadership. Typical core topics include construction project planning and control, cost and commercial management, construction law and contract administration, procurement strategy, risk and quality management, and sustainability in construction. You will also study research methods and digital practices such as BIM and data-driven project delivery. Teaching is delivered through lectures, workshops, case studies and applied group projects, and students complete a dissertation or major project that applies principles to a live or simulated industry problem.

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a good undergraduate degree (equivalent to a UK 2:1) in a relevant subject such as civil engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, architecture or another built environment discipline. Applicants with lower academic qualifications but significant relevant professional experience, or recognised professional qualifications, are considered on a case‑by‑case basis. International applicants whose first language is not English will need to meet the university's English language requirement (for example an academic IELTS profile typical of postgraduate study). Applicants should submit a CV and personal statement outlining their experience and motivation for the programme.
