What you'll study

The programme delivers a foundation in the main chemical disciplines (organic, inorganic, physical and analytical chemistry) in the early years, progressively integrating medicinal chemistry topics that focus on drug design, synthesis and evaluation. Practical laboratory work is a significant component throughout, developing synthetic technique, spectroscopic characterisation, analytical method development and data interpretation.
