Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a bachelor’s degree in music, theology, religious studies or a closely related field. A demonstrable background in music theory and performance is important; applicants should be prepared to submit a portfolio or recordings that show their conducting, singing, instrumental or compositional ability. Additional materials typically include academic transcripts, a personal statement describing vocational aims in religious music and worship, and letters of recommendation. Some applicants may be asked to attend an interview or audition as part of the selection process.
