The Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies 2025 offer fully funded scholarships for international students, teachers, translators, interpreters, and academics interested in learning Czech language and culture. Organized by leading Czech universities, these three- to four-week intensive courses provide language training, cultural immersion, and academic seminars. The scholarships cover tuition fees, accommodation, meals, and study materials. Applications are open to candidates from eligible countries through Czech embassies or partner institutions, with a nomination deadline of March 31, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be nominated by a Czech embassy, ministry, or partner institution in their home country
  • Have an interest in Czech language, culture, literature, and history
  • Possess beginner to advanced Czech language skills (A0 to C1 levels available)

Application Procedure

A two-step selection process applies for Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies 2025.

Step 1: Nomination Process (March 31, 2025)

Applicants must apply through the Czech embassy or designated partner institution in their country.

  • Submit a completed application form (Available in DOCX and PDF)
  • Attach a Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English or Czech
  • Some institutions may require additional documents (e.g., motivation letter, language certificates)

Step 2: Registration & Selection
