DDSA Visit Grant Scholarship 2024/2025 in Denmark is available to undertake Bachelor, Masters, PhD, Research, Post Doctorate level programs at Denmark Universities.

What does the grant cover?

  • The grant contributes up to DKK 15,000 to cover costs for travel, accommodation and related expenses.
  • The grant does not cover salary, daily allowances, food expenses or local transportation.

In general, DDSA promotes the use of public transport (and encourages the use of train / bus where possible). The use of own private vehicle is only allowed if it is more expedient in terms of cost and time and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.


Eligible Nationalities for DDSA Visit Grant Scholarship:

DDSA Fellowships are open to domestic and internationals students of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria for DDSA Visit Grant Scholarship:

The DDSA fellowships 2024 are open to a wide range of applicants, including:

  • Danish Students: Enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. program at a university.
  • International Students: Enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. program at a university outside of Denmark.
  • Ph.D. Students: Must be currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program.
  • Postdoctoral Researchers: Must be employed by a university within one year of completing their Ph.D.

Additionally:

Applicants must be enrolled or employed at a university at the time of their planned visit to Denmark, or their visit must occur within one year of completing their university enrollment or employment.

When to Apply

The DDSA fellowships operate on a rolling application basis, meaning you can submit your application throughout the year. Applications are processed within 6 weeks. However, it's important to note that your application must be received before the start of your planned activity in Denmark.

Limitations:

  • Applicants can receive only one grant per year.
  • Supervisors at Danish institutions can nominate a maximum of 3 applicants for DDSA visit grants per calendar year.

Applications for DDSA fellowships are evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Applicant Motivation: The strength of your motivation for visiting Denmark and pursuing your research goals there.
  • Scientific Purpose: The clarity and significance of the scientific purpose behind your visit.
  • Intended Outcomes: The expected outcomes of your visit to Denmark and how they will contribute to your academic and professional development.
  • Scientific Profile: How well your academic background and research experience align with the focus areas of the DDSA fellowships.
  • Letter of Support: A strong letter of support from your host institution/supervisor in Denmark, demonstrating their endorsement of your visit and its potential benefits.
