Types of Erasmus Mundus Scholarships for EMJM PROMISE
Full Erasmus Mundus Scholarships
Every year from 2022 to 2025, 21 full Erasmus Mundus scholarships are offered to outstanding students, based on academic merit. These scholarships are divided among:
Recipients of this full scholarship receive a living allowance of EUR 1400 per month for 24 months, covering tuition and related study costs. Attendance at partner universities is mandatory, with delayed arrivals affecting the scholarship amount. Note: Students must be prepared to finance their initial travel and accommodation as scholarships are disbursed after residence formalities.
IPA Country Scholarships
Six additional scholarships are reserved for students from IPA (Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance) countries, covering both tuition fees and living expenses.
Tuition Fee Scholarships
Five partial scholarships cover tuition only, offered to selected students by the EMJM PROMISE Consortium. These do not include living allowances but allow more students access to top-tier education without financial barriers.
This scholarship is open to international students of all nationalities.
Applicants must hold a minimum BSc degree in fields like mineral processing, materials engineering, or related disciplines. Compulsory subjects include mathematics and either chemistry or physics. Required documents must be translated to English and either certified by the issuing university or legalized.
The application process is open from October 1st to December 31st, 2024 for the fourth intake. Only applications completed and submitted online through the official EMJM PROMISE portal will be accepted. Evaluation results will be announced by March 15, 2025, with students confirming their places by March 30, 2025. The academic year begins in September 2025, with first-semester registration starting in August.
