Program Overview and Work Arrangements
The Research Associate Program offers term-based appointments with an initial two-year duration, which may be extended up to a maximum of five years based on performance and organizational requirements. Work arrangements are flexible, with a hybrid model that includes both onsite and telework options. However, associates who telework are expected to visit the office at least three times a week or spend a minimum of 60% of their work schedule onsite at their own expense.

You are eligible for the Research Associate Program if you meet the following requirements:
Possess a Ph.D. in natural sciences or engineering or a Master’s degree in an engineering field earned within the last five years.
Have demonstrated ability to perform high-quality, original research in your field.
Meet the Reliability Status condition of employment.
Priority may be given to candidates from the following employment equity groups:
