The 2025 Chinese Government Scholarship Short-term Research Exchange Program (China Link) is now open at Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) in China. This prestigious program offers fully funded short-term research scholarships for international graduate students, doctoral candidates, and faculty members from CSC partner institutions. Scholarship recipients will benefit from tuition-free research exchange, monthly living stipends, accommodation, and other support. The application deadline is May 31, 2026, and the latest arrival date in China is August 31, 2026.

Program Overview

The China Link Scholarship is designed to enhance academic collaboration between China and top foreign institutions. HZAU, a leading research university in China, welcomes visiting international scholars to engage in 1–12 months of scientific research and cultural exchange. Courses and research may be conducted in English or Chinese, depending on the academic department.

Degree Level

The program is open to the following categories:

• General Visiting Students: Master’s students under 45 years of age
• Senior Scholars: PhD students and faculty members under 50 years of age

Eligible Nationalities

This scholarship is open to international students of all nationalities except Chinese.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a non-Chinese citizen
• Must be enrolled as a full-time student or faculty at a CSC-partner institution (see Attachment 1)
• Must be physically and mentally healthy
• Must meet HZAU's admission criteria

Applicants are advised to begin the process at least 3 months prior to their intended start date. The application involves two steps:
