• If you are applying for Chinese language training or advanced studies related to the Chinese language at universities and colleges in Beijing, the scholarship should apply for a duration of less than one year.
• Scholars and international students enrolling in specialized training programs at Chinese universities and colleges in the Beijing region should have scholarships lasting less than one year.

The Hubei Government Scholarship is categorized into five types, each offering different annual or semi-annual amounts:

1. Undergraduate Scholarship: Provides 10,000 RMB per year.
2. Graduate Scholarship: Offers 15,000 RMB per year.
3. Doctorate Scholarship: Grants 20,000 RMB per year.
4. General Scholar Scholarship: Provides 5,000 RMB every 6 months or 10,000 RMB per year.
5. Advanced Scholar Scholarship (including visiting scholars, as mentioned later): Offers 10,000 RMB every 6 months or 20,000 RMB per year.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for the Hubei Government Scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Language Proficiency: Proficiency in the required language for the academic program is determined by each individual higher learning institution.

2. Eligible Countries: The scholarship is open to applicants from all countries worldwide, with the exception of Chinese citizens.

3. Nationality and Conduct: Applicants should be foreign citizens with valid passports and should exhibit a friendly attitude towards China. They should also have a good moral character, be hardworking, excel academically, and maintain good health.

4. Undergraduate Scholarship: Undergraduate applicants should be under the age of 25 on average and hold a degree equivalent to a Chinese High School Degree or higher.

7. General Scholar Scholarship: General Scholar applicants should be under the age of 40 on average. Chinese language scholars should have attained a Higher School Degree or higher, while professional scholars should have a bachelor's degree or higher or be in at least their second year of university.

8. Advanced Scholar Scholarship: Advanced Scholar applicants should hold a master's degree or higher, have the title of associate professor or higher, and have an average age of 50.

9. Financial Aid: Applicants should not be receiving financial assistance from the Chinese government or other organizations.
