The Institute of Science Tokyo (formerly Tokyo Institute of Technology) is offering the Scholarship for Outstanding International Undergraduates 2025 to support international students pursuing undergraduate studies in Japan. This fully or partially funded scholarship aims to help outstanding students by providing full or half tuition fees. Applications for the Scholarship for Outstanding International Undergraduates are open from April 1, 2025, to April 8, 2025, until 4 p.m.

About the Scholarship

The Scholarship for Outstanding International Undergraduates was established in April 2020 as an alternative to the enrollment fee and tuition exemption system. It specifically targets privately funded international students who enrolled after April 2020 and are not Japanese nationals. Eligible Nationalities

This scholarship is open to applicants of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Scholarship for Outstanding International Undergraduates 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Degree Level: Undergraduate students who enrolled after April 2020.
2. Nationality: International students who are not Japanese nationals (excluding government-sponsored students).
3. Enrollment Status: Privately funded students who have not exceeded the standard duration of their undergraduate studies.
4. Academic Performance:
5. New Students (AY 2025): Top performers in the entrance examination.
6. Students Enrolled from AY 2020 to AY 2024: Evaluated based on academic performance in AY 2024.
7. GPA Requirement: A spring semester GPA of at least 3.0 is mandatory to maintain the scholarship.
