Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Kalman Award, applicants must:

• Be currently enrolled (full-time or part-time) in one of the following at the University of Victoria:

  • Diploma in Cultural Resource Management

  • Graduate Professional Certificate in Cultural Heritage Studies

  • Any degree program related to cultural heritage

• Be planning or participating in a heritage-related work or study experience in an international setting

• Have completed a minimum of 12.0 credit units, with 10.5 units graded using UVic’s standard nine-point scale, in two of the three academic terms from May to April

• Apply as part of the in-course scholarship process during the subsequent winter session (September to April)

How to Accept the Award

If selected, students can accept the scholarship through their UVic Online Tools account:

1. Obtain a NetLink ID
2. Visit www.uvic.ca
3. Sign in to UVic Online Tools
4. Navigate to Student Services > Awards and Financial Aid
5. Click View My Student Aid
6. Enter the appropriate Aid Year and Period
7. Select Accept for the scholarship(s) offered
