LPDP-Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS)




The LPDP-Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS) 2024is a co-funding scholarship program between LPDP (Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education) and Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS). It provides opportunities for Indonesian citizens to pursue a master’s degree in areas such as the blue economy, green/renewable economy, and digital/information technology at 22 Australian universities.





Target Audience




The LPDP-AAS program is aimed at Indonesian citizens (WNI) and is open to civil servants (CPNS/PNS). However, it is not available to members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) or Indonesian National Police (POLRI).





Program Scheme




The LPDP-AAS program is exclusively for a single degree master’s program with a study duration of 24 months. Study programs offered include fields related to the blue economy, green/renewable economy, and digital/information technology. Applicants must go through the application and selection process via the LPDP registration system. Once selected, they will be registered at their chosen university by the Australia Awards in Indonesia (AAI) team. Applicants are not required to upload an Unconditional Letter of Offer (LoA) during the application process and can choose three universities or programs of study.

LPDP - Australia Awards Scholarship 2024 (Fully Funded) is available to undertake Masters level programs at Australian Universities.

Eligible Nationalities

This scholarship is only open to Indonesian Citizens.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Indonesian citizens who have completed a diploma four (D4) or undergraduate (S1) degree.
  • Applicants who have completed a master’s degree (S2) are not eligible.
  • Applicants with overseas qualifications must provide:
  1. Diploma equivalence certificate from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology or Ministry of Religious Affairs.
  2. GPA conversion results (if applicable).
  • Ongoing students can apply under the following conditions:
  1. Apply for a different program or university from their current study.
  2. Submit a resignation letter from the current study if selected.
  • Civil servants must include a recommendation letter from a senior official (Echelon II level or higher).
  • The program is only for regular classes, excluding executive, special, or distance-learning programs.

Document Requirements

Applicants must upload the following documents:

  • Personal data (online form)
  • National ID card (KTP)
  • Bachelor’s degree diploma or graduation certificate
  • Transcripts (including D3 and D4 if applicable)
  • GPA conversion or equivalence certificates (for overseas graduates)
  • English language proficiency certificate (PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, or IELTS) within the last two years
  • Recommendation letters (in English)
  • A profile in English, including any unfinished academic experiences
  • A statement of commitment to return to Indonesia and a post-study contribution plan

Selection Process Timeline (2024)

  • Application Period: August 26 – September 13, 2024
  • Administrative Selection: September 16 – 25, 2024
  • Announcement of Results: September 27, 2024
  • Substance Selection (Interviews): October 28 – November 1, 2024
  • Results: November 14, 2024

Applicants who pass the LPDP selection will then apply for an Unconditional LoA from their chosen university.

Commitment to Indonesia

Recipients of the scholarship must return and serve in Indonesia for a duration of twice the study period plus one year (2N+1).
