What is the Young Leaders Fellowship Program?
The Young Leaders Fellowship by MCW Global is a year-long initiative aimed at empowering youth to create sustainable community change. Through virtual and in-person training, participants will develop leadership skills, engage in vision planning, and receive personalized mentorship to execute impactful community projects. The program reflects the philosophy of Local Change Through Global Exchange®.
Program Structure and Timeline
1. Community Needs Assessment (Virtual – June 2025)
- Duration: 1 month
- Participants will map and assess the needs of their local communities.
- This phase equips fellows with tools to understand key local issues.
2. In-Person Training Program (July 15 – July 24, 2025)
- Location: New York, NY, and Burlington, VT, USA
- 10 days of workshops, vision planning, and project development.
- Accommodation at New York University and Champlain College.
- MCW Global will cover travel between program locations.
3. Project Implementation with Alumni Mentorship (July 2025 – July 2026)
- Duration: 10 months
- Fellows collaborate with alumni mentors through virtual check-ins and quarterly hangouts.
