The UCD Ad Astra Elite Sports Scholars program is dedicated to nurturing talent and fostering a culture of excellence. With a current cohort of 60 scholars representing a diverse range of sports including athletics, badminton, camogie, cycling, football, GAA, hockey, hurley, karate, modern pentathlon, rugby, soccer, sailing, swimming, and table tennis, the program has a proven track record of success.
Scholarship recipients benefit from a generous support package valued at €3,000, which can be allocated towards tuition, accommodation, or as a general stipend. Additional benefits include guaranteed on-campus housing, academic mentoring, comprehensive healthcare, nutritional and fitness guidance, sports psychology support, and access to state-of-the-art strength and conditioning facilities.
