University of Oxford Ertegun Scholarships 2025/2026 in UK (Fully Funded) is available to undertake Masters level programs at University of Oxford.

The Ertegun Scholarship is available to students pursuing graduate studies in the following areas:

  • Classics (including Classical Archaeology)
  • English Language and Literature
  • Fine Art (DPhil in Contemporary Art History and Theory only)
  • History (including History of Art and History of Architecture)
  • Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics
  • Medieval and Modern Languages (covering most European languages and their literature)
  • Music
  • Philosophy
  • Theology and Religion
  • Interdisciplinary Courses: Celtic Studies, Comparative Literature & Critical Translation, Medieval Studies, Film Aesthetics, Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies, and Digital Scholarship

Benefits

Financial Support:

  • Full Tuition Coverage: The Ertegun Scholarship takes care of all your tuition fees for the entire program duration.
  • Living Stipend: You'll also receive a generous annual grant to cover your living expenses in Oxford. In 2023-2024, this stipend was £18,622, which should be enough for a single student's living costs.
  • Ertegun House Access: As an Ertegun Scholar, you'll have your own dedicated workspace at Ertegun House for studying and research. Ertegun House also hosts social events, lectures, performances, and activities designed specifically for scholars.

Scholarship Duration:

The scholarship covers your tuition fees for the entire length of your approved course. If your program lasts more than a year, you'll need to renew your scholarship annually based on your academic performance.


Eligible Nationalities

This scholarship is open to international students of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria

  • You must be applying to start a new, full-time graduate program at Oxford University. Scholarships are not available for current graduate students seeking funding for subsequent years.
  • You must meet all the admission requirements for your chosen course, including English language proficiency.
  • You cannot hold this scholarship in conjunction with other awards.

Two-Step Application Process:

  • Apply to Oxford First: You'll need to be admitted to a humanities graduate program at the University of Oxford. Submit your application following their instructions.
  • Complete Ertegun Scholarship Alongside: While applying to Oxford, be sure to indicate your interest in the Ertegun Scholarship on the University's graduate application form.

Important Note: Applications for the 2024-2025 academic year are no longer being accepted. The application window for the 2025-2026 academic year will open in September 2024.  The deadline to apply for the Ertegun Graduate Scholarship is coming up in early January 2025.
