The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme provides outstanding university graduates and professionals from developing and emerging economies an opportunity to pursue fully-funded graduate studies at the University of Oxford.

Eligibility Criteria

1. You must be applying to start a new graduate course at Oxford.
2. Please review the information below to see the complete list of eligible courses.  You must also be ordinarily resident in one of the eligible countries listed.
3. You should be intending to return to your country of ordinary residence once your course is completed. Students currently at Oxford are not eligible to apply unless they are already Weidenfeld-Hoffmann scholars. 
4. You should be able to demonstrate a connection between your subject of study and your longer-term career objectives, explaining how you see your professional work contributing to the improvement of public life in your country of origin or at a wider regional or international level. 
5. The above qualities will be assessed during the selection process, including using your graduate application form, your Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement and (if relevant) your interview.
6. This scholarship is not open to applications from candidates who hold deferred offers to start in 2022-23.

Application Procedure

In order to be considered for this scholarship, you must select the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme in the University of Oxford Scholarships section of the University's graduate application form and submit your application for graduate study by the relevant December or January deadline for your course. See the relevant course page for the deadline applicable to your course.  

You must also complete a Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement and upload it, together with your graduate application form, by the deadline.

We will use the details you insert in the ‘Nationality and ordinary residence’ section of the graduate application form to assess your country of ordinary residence.
